The excitement and anticipation surrounding the release of Grand Theft Auto VI is culminating in a number of tie-ins to help further build momentum, which is what we're seeing with Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look. The Netflix exclusive release comes through a partnership between the streaming service and Rockstar Games, and will provide subscribers with an extended look at what they can expect to see with the upcoming game. The content will release on August 27, 2026 at 3pm EST and comes as a first-ever collaboration for a video game, which is already anticipated to be one of the largest releases in recent years.
VP of Nonfiction Series Brandon Riegg spoke on the Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look saying, "Grand Theft Auto reveals have become cultural moments in their own right. The anticipation and fandom around Grand Theft Auto VI is unprecedented, and we’re honored that Rockstar Games has partnered with us to debut the next part of the Grand Theft Auto story with Netflix members first."
