EL EQUIPO CREATIVO, a Barcelona-based interior design studio renowned for its hospitality and gastronomy projects, has created Escondido Rooftop Bar — an open-air destination perched atop the Kimpton Los Monteros Hotel in Marbella. The design sensibilities of this hospitality establishment draw on the glamour and ease of 1970s Costa del Sol jet-set culture to establish a distinct identity within the hotel's reimagined public spaces.
EL EQUIPO CREATIVO organizes the design of the Escondido Rooftop Bar across stepped platforms at different levels. This approach enables the generation of distinct zones with varying atmospheres — from an upper-level bar featuring 70s references, geometric patterns, and a warm terracotta palette to a lower-level panoramic pool clad in retro hand-glazed ceramic tiles that stretches toward open views of the Mediterranean.
