Religions aren't exactly famous for embracing the changes of the future, but Pray.com is a service that hopes to bring the benefits of something as modern as social media to the spiritual set. The mobile app and online platform is designed to connect religious leaders to their congregations and to better foster communication between members of that congregation among one another.
In Pope Francis' encyclical, he entreated the Catholic populace to come together as a community to solve the issues of the planet. Inspired by those words, the founders of Pray.com designed a network that could create this community fellowship. On the app and site, religious leaders can send calls for prayers which can then be taken up by members of the congregation. The platform also helps users to share inspirational and religious content with one another.
