Narrative Design Studio, a San Francisco-based interior design firm founded by Shannon Niehenke, has completed the design for the Kimpton Mirador Pacific Grove. This 99-room boutique hotel unites sophistication and simplicity while drawing inspiration from the monarch butterfly and the fog-kissed landscape of California's central coast.
The Kimpton Mirador Pacific Grove hotel has brought attention to Pacific Grove — a small town historically overshadowed by Carmel and Monterey. The project is rooted in Spanish Revival architecture and offers a refined yet approachable experience for travelers seeking a soulful retreat. Upon entering, guests are welcomed by a serene color palette featuring textured walls, stone floors, and wood ceilings, with the work of local artists featured prominently among the Spanish-style details.
