Secret Walls represents a dynamic international event series centered on competitive live art creation, where two groups of artists are given a limited duration of ninety minutes to produce complete murals using solely black paint on a white surface. This challenge transpires in an atmosphere charged by musical accompaniment and an active audience.
Originating in London in the mid-2000s, the Secret Walls organization has expanded significantly, executing thousands of such artistic contests in numerous international locales and forming collaborations with a wide array of major corporate brands. Its operational base is now in Los Angeles, where it also maintains a physical venue — BlackL!ne — which functions as a social and creative hub.
Beyond the spectacle of the live art creation, the organization has established an educational initiative, dubbed the Secret Walls Academy, focused on providing artistic development opportunities through institutional partnerships.
