People have largely accepted that achieving great hair color means either splurging on a skilled colorist at a salon or settling for the one-size-fits-all results of an off-the-shelf box dye—but the ColorBox by Zuvi is an innovation that combines customization and convenience. This first-of-its-kind at-home hair color creator can make unlimited shades by blending primary colors. Leveraging the magic of color theory, this device mixes red, yellow and blue with a base cream dilutor so that users can create the semi-permanent shade of their dreams on demand.
Naturally, as with most hair dyes, some colors work better on natural hair colors than others, but finding a recommended starting point is easy, thanks to over 1,000 preset shades loaded in the app. What’s more, the semi-permanent hair color is built on a conditioner-based formula that's vegan, cruelty-free, and made without harsh ammonia or peroxide.
