Sierra Nevada Brewing's Shred is a new beer soda that promises a uniquely refreshing, soda-like experience, although its brew does not contain any actual soda or juice. Crafted as a modern take on the radler (a mix of beer and citrus soda or juice,) Shred has soda-like carbonation and bright, sweet, citrus flavor, but as Sierra Nevada Brewing spells out: "Shred is a beer, full stop."
When Sierra Nevada Brewing's innovation team discovered that when a special yeast combines with the right sugar, it creates a beer that's brighter, sweeter, and delivers a soda-like drinking experience that's distinctly different from traditional beer. Shred is made with just water, malt, hops, and yeast, plus a touch of citrus, and it's ready to sip by the can in vibrant flavors like Lemon, Grapefruit, Lime Ginger, and Orange.
