Understanding how successful apps are designed can help product teams make more informed decisions about user experience, onboarding, and monetisation. Appllama is a design research platform that gives app creators access to more than 30,000 screens from over 700 high-earning iOS apps on the App Store. Users can explore complete product flows, including onboarding experiences, paywalls, home screens, and other in-app journeys, rather than looking at individual screenshots in isolation.
The platform also lets users inspect interface elements such as colours and fonts to better understand the design choices behind different products. Appllama adds business context to its research by showing revenue, download, and rating information alongside app designs. New apps are added weekly and captured live from the App Store, giving users access to a continually expanding research library. By combining visual product research with performance data, Appllama aims to help app creators study what successful products look like and how their experiences are structured.
